Robert Rector

 



Robert W. Rector, CPT USNR-Ret, Ph.D., was a highly respected math engineering professor at UCLA for many years. He received his Ph.D. at Stanford, and was head of the Short Engineering Courses at UCLA as well.
The Women’s International Center has honored Margaret Rector with the Living Legacy Legend Award and now is our oppotunity to honor Robert. He continues his financial support of Women’s International Center and many other charities.
After Margaret’s passing, Robert established the Margaret Hayden Rector Memorial Scholarship at Citrus College, California, which gives scholarships to female students interested in theater and playwriting. Together they had three children, daughter Robin Rector Krupp – a Living Legacy honoree; daughter Cleon and son Bruce, all are contributors to the world in their own way, inspired and cultivated by Robert and Margaret.

Robert recently celebrated his 90th birthday and he continues his active life by traveling the world with his children and grandchildren.

Robert Rector is a 22 Year Lifetime Charter Member of Women’s International Center.His life achievements go beyond Women’s International Center - he is a man for all ages.

We proudly acknowledge Robert Rector with the Living Legacy Life Achievement Award at our 2006 celebration of excellence and commitment.
