Jenni Prisk

 



An award-winning motivational speaker, communications coach and trainer, Jenni Prisk founded Prisk Communication in 1989. Her mission is to provide training in public speaking and communication skills that will remove fears, engender confidence and give positive results. She works with companies and individuals. A native of New Zealand, she holds diplomas in Adult Teaching, Human Relations, Communication, Speech and Drama.

Jenni has spoken at several national business conferences and in collaboration with P.R.I.D.E. Inc. has developed a public speaking and communications course for developmentally disabled adults. Her background includes journalism where she received many awards including the SD Business Journal’s Award for Women Who Mean Business. Jenni has co-authored ASTD’s Trainer’s Workshop Series Communication Skills Training and is a board member of the Actors Alliance of San Diego.

An avid volunteer, Jenni has given time and energy to many charities including Mama’s Kitchen, the YWCA, Old Globe, and County Mental Health Center. She often anchors KPBS TV San Diego fundraisers, and has interviewed guests including Dr. Ken Blanchard, Sarah Brightman, Paul Anka, JohnTesh, Patti LuPone and Dr. Wayne Dyer. She also writes a column on SD theatre for TheatreScene e-zine. For nine years she has been reading weekly to first graders at Cadman Elementary School, in San Diego.

She co-produced Artists for Asia where she and a fellow actor assembled a band of theater professionals who performed a benefit performance at the Lyceum Theatre for victims of the 2004 Tsunami. Following the September 11th terrorist attacks in 2001, Jenni founded Voices of Women (VOW), an international forum for non-military solutions, to foster global peace, justice and equality around the world. Jenni resides with her husband, Kim, in San Diego.
